This is a prototype of a weather app that I created from start to finish, I wanted to create something that was visually appealing for users to look at, but still be practical. Landmark is a weather app that allows the users to see some of the famous landmarks in the area they are searching the weather for. Giving them both knowledge on the weather and also knowledge about some of the landmarks and monuments in that location too.
This app was designed with a slightly older audience in mind. I thought it would be used by people who like to travel and also have a keen interest in historical places. I thought it would be used by busy people. People who just want to check the weather in a certain place and get on with life.
I wanted to create a very simple and practical user interface that would enable the user to go in and check the weather forecast for certain places and be able to move on very simply. I wanted an app that would show the different weather forecasts for all the different places in a simple and straight forward way. I wanted an app that was easy to use and navigate around, hence Landmark has a very simple design system.
